jaysgoh Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 My stars are quite big for 3 inch shells. I can fit them in but not much, probably less than 15 per hemisphere. But my question is, once I put all the stars inside, seems like middle of the space left not much room for me to place my burst charge, it might not that deep but do you think should i place a thin layer tissue or without tissue for the burst charge?
Jakenbake Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) You usually want more than 15 stars per hemi (unless you are after a desired effect). On 3" shells i try to keep my stars around 8-10mm in diameter. Star size also depends on there burning rate. I have used tissue paper between stars and burst in the past but now feel my stars light better without it. What kind of prime and burst charge are you using? Edited April 30, 2014 by Jakenbake
jaysgoh Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 My stars I roll it by my hand, quite good circular shape but not consistent. Should roll smaller next time I don't think so my d1 glitter star prime, I'm using meal coated rice hull 5:1
