Paulownia charcoal. Advice need.

I have found a business that sells paulownia wood. But is not paulownia tomentosa nor paulownia elongata. Is a crossbreed between paulownia elongata and paulownia fortunei (paulownia elongata x fortunei)

It is also lighweight like other paulownias, and grow very fast.

They sell 1 m3 (250 - 350 kg / m3) for 70$ - 140$ (50€ - 100€) depending the shipping cost.

As i quite near i think it would be in the lower side xd.

I have seen that paulownia tomentosa , fortunei , and elongata are quite similar with same leafs, flowers and appearance.

And i have read that the three are used for bp. At least fortunei is , as i had found a skylighter post talking of dragon tree (how is called paulownia fortunei)

So i suppose a paulownia elongata x fortunei crossbreed should be as good as other paulownias for bp.

Is only sold in m3 (250 kg to 350 kg depending density). But for the price i think i could give a try.

Because i think it would be a very good charcoal, if it happens that is not the case of that variety, i can use it to cook goat willow xd.

What do you think ?

in my opinion i dont even know what genus / species of paulownia i use for my bp i just know where a lot of it is on properties of people i know

i will say this no matter what genus it is it will be a damn site faster than any willow

my bp previous to having paulownia that i cook my self seemed pretty slow no matter what i did it was very serviceable but paulownia is ruthless in comparison to the willow or vineyard i was using

just my 2cents but if you have no other wood source that is in the fast list for bp than willow you wont be disappointed buying a m3 of it especially at that price
