TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 This was my first time making a 6" and first time using plastic. Im surprised it didnt break very symmetrically, I didnt use any flash booster all 6:1 MCRH. There is a 3" inner petal of buttered popcorn but it burns out very quickly. Let me know what you think 1
VikingPyrotechnics Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I think it was a very good shell for the first time ! Thanks for sharing
Mumbles Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Did you do any reinforcing of the plastic hemisphere? I always found that was key to getting good spherical breaks. It sounded and looked like it broke plenty hard at least. You're probably well on your way to getting good results.
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 I used the strapping fiber tape. Probably at least 8 layers.
mkn Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 That was great !!! now its back to making more stars to fill the next one I bet !
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 No man. I made a 3-4kilo batch of stars. Enough for 8 more probably.
skid68 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Nice shell. Next time stick a comet on there so you don't lose it on the way up.
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Yeah. I wanted to, but I didn't have the time to make a comet. I will next time I think.
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Thanks! I'm going to try another pretty soon!
