BrainDamage Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hi guys I have been looking for some good sites that have tutorials
Wolverine Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 passfire.com has a metric s***ton of in depth tutorials from what I hear.
enanthate Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Haven't seen this one on the forum yet, so posting here. A nice list of compositions + guides.http://web.archive.org/web/20101221174814/http://pyroguide.com/index.php?title=Category:Compositions However, like Wolverine says, passfire.com is supposed to be THE site. You have to pay $50 for it, but it's well spent money from what I've heard. Edited March 7, 2014 by enanthate
Wolverine Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 fireworking.com has a great reputation as well. To help you decide if you are inclined in that direction I cite Passfire vs. Fireworking
mikeee Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 There are some good videos on youtube, but you need to sort thru the garbage to find the reliable sources. The PGI has a number of good resources.AFN American Fireworks News has good articles.Check with members of local pyrotechnic clubs some of the members have libraries with resources. There are a number of videos that have been produced at the PGI conventions, many of these are great tutorials and resources.Do a google search and you will find plenty of sites and files.
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I am a member of passfire and I can personally vouch for the copious amounts of very good data and tutorials there. There is a draw back if you can even call it that. Quite a bit of the tutorials are for very large batch big stuff. It can be a touch overwhelming for a beginner, but it really is a goldmine. I have access to fireworking as well. Neds tutorials there are more user friendly and they cover a bit more of the essentials, however his list of planned tutorials is far from complete, and lacks just a bit behind passfire. One more thing to consider is fireworking is $40 per year. Passfire is $50 for every 2-3years.
