TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Hey, I bought a set of bucket screens from mumpyro back in december, but I haven't heard anything from him. Does anyone here know him or have a way to drop him a line? I can't find a way to contact him to get my screens!
LambentPyro Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) I lost $100 when I bought from him. I had to fake my caller ID to his area code to get a hold of him. He's a lying POS that never shipped my order. I put a claim in for my order and got my money back. Order from BucketScreen.com. Contact him about star sizing screens, he has them too. dagabu Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 WHOA! I know Derrick very well, be careful of slander guys. If anybody needs me to contact him, let me know but mind your tongues. -dag
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Dave, would you mind contacting him for me? I really would like my screens.
Mumbles Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I've defended him for quite a while, which has nothing to do with he and I regularly being confused. It does seem however that things have taken a turn. It's a shame. He offered a quality product that seemed to really benefit the community.
Shadowcat1969 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I had emailed him in mid December and he said he had been having personal issues of some sort and had not been able to get to current orders. He said he hoped to be up and running by the new year, but it looks like that may have been delayed again. Life gets in the way sometimes, and it can be difficult to deal with other things, even when somebody has paid you money or something similar. I'm sure, from the way everyone talks about him that he will eventually make things right.
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 I wish I had a way to directly contact him. :/
LambentPyro Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) I wish I had a way to directly contact him. :/You can try calling him from the information provided on the PayPal invoice. WHOA! Not to mention when I faked my phone number to one in his area, he answers and then lies about the entire situation and couldn't just be honest, you would certainly take it personal. You may know him well and that's fine and dandy, but all I know is I lost money for a few months and received a terrible experience. Edited February 17, 2014 by LambentPyro 1
superstring Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 WHOA! I know Derrick very well, be careful of slander guys. If anybody needs me to contact him, let me know but mind your tongues. -dagI spent just under 240.00 with Derrick last May, and he still hasn't shipped. So Dave, if you wouldn't mind, I think it's time I ask for your help. I have been very patient with Derrcik, in spite of several others badmouthing him. I have had communication via email with Derrick, and he has kept me at bay by saying next week, or real soon, but nothing has ever arrived. Sorry to have to even go here, but it looks like a rip-off.
dynomike1 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Dag maybe you can tell me why i didn't get my screens. I am having trouble getting formers made, but i am not ducking anyone and not telling something that i cant stand behind. Edited February 17, 2014 by dynomike1
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Has anyone on fireworking tried anything? Ned gorski didn't seem to have trouble getting his
nater Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Ned and a bunch of other people got them a while back. Derrick has had plenty of happy customers with no complaints at all until the last several months.
Carbon796 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Actually this problem has been going on for well over a year. I almost ordered some screens, when I saw someone post they were having issues. I've been watching to see if Mum pyro was going to get their act together. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything positive posted about them in that time. http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/5916-mum-pyrotechnics/ Edited February 17, 2014 by Carbon796 1

He was given the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. Evidently there are still a few believers to this ill fated person. Hopefully this thread will continue to steer toward the truth and correct facts to the right direction without additional misdirection.
superstring Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I was one of the FOOLS that trusted, believed, even hoped that everything would turn out right. Well, I'm not usually wrong, but this time the joke is on me. I'm a fool, 'er WAS a fool. No more. This is what I get for trusting someone I've never met, and believing in Mr. Mum. I'm a nice guy, anyone who knows me will say so, I didn't try to badmouth you, even though there were many out there that did. Instead I patiently waited for my goods to arrive, because you told me several times they would. I have all the emails, full of shit they are. So Derrick, I hope you're reading this. Do you feel good about ripping me off? I don't think you'll be getting any more requests for your products. And to think just how badly I felt for you, any family you may have, your property, land etc. What a dumb fucker I AM for trusting YOU Derrick. Guys like you make me sick. you give the rest of the vendors in pyro a bad name. So, I have a really good friend that is itchin to make a few extra bucks, he's an expert machinist, so setting up the CNC to punch holes in bucket bottoms will be a snap. Oh yes, a pyro also, with 35 years experience, he's proficient at charcoal making also. So guys, no worries, we have another source for our needs. 2
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 That would be nice to have someone else make the screens, but that won't return the good money that was spent on Derricks screens
superstring Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 True, and I sympathize wholly with whomever lost money to this cat, I lost plenty myself. and a lot of time as well. I'm just writing it off as a bad experience, I will never forget though what others, and myself have been through. Chalk it up to experience. And who knows, down the line. it's likely I'll buy and set up a Bridgeport in my workshop. I have room for it, so I can see it happening eventually. And, this experience hasn't soured my interest or desire to continue my pyro endeavors. Contrary, I'm stronger and a little smarter than before. Stay green everybody!Gotta love pyro!
schroedinger Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Tyro if you have buyed 'em just over in december and payed by paypal. You should still be under the buyer protection paypal offers allways. Go to your paypal account and state 'em that you didn't receive your gods and pledge a withdrawal. From my experience paypal is fast anc very serious about such a problem.

You shouldn't have any problem with Pay Pal because they are aware of the problem with him.
superstring Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks for the advice. It was last MAY that I placed the order, so according to paypal, I'm well beyond the limit of 45 days. What the heck, I guess it's worth a shot.
Coulterbart Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Let them know you have been corresponding with him and that is why you waited to dispute it. Might help.
nater Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Paypal won't budge after the 45 day mark. I dealt with that when Grant Schauber (Pianomistro) screwed a bunch of us here out of our money. I even showed Paypal the correspondence about the delay and why I waited to dispute. It is the expense of a lesson learned, but that doesn't take the sting away. Edited February 18, 2014 by nater
shouldnoteatindat Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 contact your credit card company, they sometimes have ways to get you your money back.
