Dragon Egg?

What is a Dragon Egg" I did a search and couldn't find a definition for it. I figure it's ether a type of star or a cylinder shell. I'm sure I'm not quit ready to make one either way. But I would still like to look into making some when I am ready.

And if you've ever seen those consumer fireworks called "crackling balls" they consist of a small plastic sphere with a paper bag wrapped around a few dragon eggs and a fuse.

Would there be any problem with using those cracklin balls as cores to roll stars?
