What are your favourite compositions incorporating antimony trisulfide.

Hey all.

I recently placed an order for some hemispheres from http://www.diversehobbies.com/shop/

He included some freebies including a sample of antimony trisulfide 150g.

Now I've never had access to this before and don't want to waste it testing compositions. Can I get opinions of people's favourites? I would prefer if there were videos to help show the composition.

Thanks all

is it dark or needles both have different uses

I have dark Sb2S3 and have found it accelerates some flash mixes, or at least seems to do so. I'm wary of it, because I don't know the extent to which it increases friction or impact sensitivity when combined with other chemicals. I do know not to mix it willy nilly with KClO3. On the other hand, I have mixed it (gently) successfully once with ingredients including NaClO3 (the result was a blindingly fast flash).

Good formulas with Sb2S3 include Winokur stars. There is a ton of formulas from him you can try. There is a thread (http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/67-winokurs-40-glitter-compositions/) that includes feedback from each formula on the performance. Not all of them include Antimony Trisulfide, but the ones that do generally performed very nicely IIRC.

It doesn't seem this guy has been doing this hobby for too long, why would you discuss flash, especially ones involved with Chlorates?
