blaadjes Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Allright, so this is my first post in this section. Last newyears-eve I fired my home-made cakebox and it was not realy a succes I guess. The fuse i've used has a burningtime about 40sec/meter.I used like 1.50 meter in the whole cake, so I tought it would burn for 90 seconds or so. Eventualy the whole thing was shooting like a maniac and 20sec later it was done..Dont know exactly why, but I think I had to expand the spaces between the tubes for extra delay. Well it was pretty cool though, but it went so fast, that I can't rember the effects in the sky anymore And besides.. Not every cake-insert went off.. Well.. Take a look at the video and see it for your self This are the pre-fire pics: Pic 1Pic 2Pic 3Pic 4Pic 5Pic 6Pic 7Pic 8 This is the video. (Took me about 7 weeks to fix lol) Allright, so at the end somewere the camare stopped during the finale delay. So the finale part is somehow not there, but you can hear/see three loud bangs that was part of the finale Anyway, cheers 1
qwezxc12 Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Wow...that is a TON of inserts to make. You must be a dedicated pyro Too bad the camera cut off...I would have liked to see all 54 shots.
Pretty green flame Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Looks to me more like you took apart some commercial cakes and fused them together to your liking.
optimus Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Looks to me more like you took apart some commercial cakes and fused them together to your liking. You sure about that? : ) http://members.lycos.nl/lurken2/1-P1010444.jpg To be fair I did think the same looking at the first few pics. Good to see recycling of commercial tubes there - very environmentally friendly : )
