jaysgoh Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Do you guys connect ematch directly to lift charge or fuses? I'm thinking of replace bm with ematch.. Anyone use ematch direct to lift powder? How is it? Chinese new year coming soon! I bought 10 2inxh rocket and 24 packets dragon eggs.
Nessalco Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 For consumer fireworks I'll usually match directly into the lift charge or the first tube in a cake. It works wonderfully - the device goes the instant you hit the switch. For the display shells I make, I attach a QM leader and match that. Kevin
Maserface Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I like e-matching into qm because that can be done after the shell is loaded, I've never been too trusting of ematch.
Mumbles Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Keeping the matches shunted helps, but I agree. I prefer to e-match after the shell is in the mortar. If an accidental ignition happens, I'd prefer to still be able to see it function in the air, rather than on a table in my workshop or in a field. 1
jaysgoh Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I'm thinking of replacing my qm because wanna move to electric firing which is directly to lift charge. But of cause I will try the ematch as long as I can trust it that it won't miss fire or accidentally fire. I using bp dipped nichrome wire. I make a wireless firing board, 2 relay switch, it work freaking well with 70+-m, after a few test, both of my relay burn! I using 4cell rc plane battery to power. Is this normal? When I press down my button, it take less than one second to burn, it does not burn instantly when I press the button. I'm looking for firework electric firing plans. Thanks for your reply. I'm a bit afraid of letting of my first big rocket.
jaysgoh Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Is it possible without visco fuse in pyro life?? That's me! I'm so desperate for visco fuse and time fuse..
