Coulterbart Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I am going to start the 'license' process and would like to reduce costs as much as possible. I am in the North Alabama area which carries a hefty $2,000 state manufacture license fee. My understanding is this can cover more than one person and if there are others in the area that could split the fee (assuming approval of FD) then I would like to look into it. I am also looking for a type 2 magazine to secure in a wooden building on my lot (meets distance requirements) but would like to see if anyone in my area would give me a contingency letter for their storage in case I do not get approval for mine. Last thing would be any input on locating a type 2 magazine (always looking for a deal) and any info on a club/group in my area (Huntsville), haven't found one yet. Coulterbart Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Thanks but I am perfectly happy in AL ( and I can honestly say I grew up and live in 'The Rocket City.' lol) Legally I am allowed to do all that I am interested in right here. Just trying to mitigate some of the cost where I can as this is a hobby for me and not a business. Unfortunately as most of us know, there is not much difference in the govt. eyes especially with financial requirements. I will be undergoing this process over the next 6 months or so.
