Sinken
http://i.imgur.com/YacwkVSl.png Pyrotechnicsguide.com The most basic functions are now in place, so we're offically opening the website On the site, we have a list of different chemicals, included some info about them: http://i.imgur.com/FbG4HGXs.png We also have a list of different compositions, including what ingredients you need etc. http://i.imgur.com/1ZR54HKs.png As we are only two people working on this, finding and adding new info about chemicals and compositions is very time consuming. Therefor, everyone who wants can both edit and add new chemicals/compositions, and we're hoping that you'll help us! All you have to do is make a user, go to a composition/chemical and press "Edit" on the bottom, just over the comments. Man kan også kommentere på alle komposisjoner og kjemikalier, og disse kommentarene kan stemmes opp/ned. I tillegg er det ett lite forum på siden. You can also comment on all the compositions and chemicals, and these comments can be both up and downvoted. There's only a small forum on the page. The probably most important function on the page is the search function. You can search for compositions that contain a few (or many) selected chemicals. This means you can figure out what you can make without having to look through page after page to find something you actually have the chemicals to make! http://i.imgur.com/djfbelts.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/LqMAdkRs.png On our to do list we have these tjhings left (mainly): *Complete the searching function *Make a more advanced ratingsystem for compositions *Make an inventory, where you can keep track of how much of each chemical you have, and which. If you for example make 200g black powder, you select that in your inventory, and 150g KNO3, 30g Charcoal and 20g Sulphur are automatically substracted. *Make a few guides *Get picturesupport for chemicals and compositions *Get a new logo Anything you miss, or do you just have a suggestion in general? Post it here, or send a mail to suggestions@pyrotechnicsguide.com! Do you have a problem, or just a question? Post it here, or send a mail to support@pyrotechnicsguide.com! Link to the old topic here Regards Sinken and EvveDevve Edit: Only administrators can edit now apparently, but that will be changed first thing when we wake up. BurritoBandito
Thanks indeed. I remember your original post about this (I believe it was going to be an app at the time?), and have been looking forward to it's completion. I'll definitely be checking it out later when I have a bit more time.
Sinken
Thank you both! It was going to be an app (and it still is gonna be, just including the webpage) The search function should now be working properly Edited January 1, 2014 by Sinken

LambentPyro
Conkling Blue and Bismuth Trioxide Dragon Eggs uses Copper (I) Oxide? Pretty sure it's Copper (II), or Black Copper Oxide. Oh yeah, Shimizu #2 doesn't have a coloring agent and Hardt Green #5 and #6 has just a 200 Mesh for it's fuel. Silver Wave Chrysanthemum has no fuel name either. The M in Shimizu's name is missing in the the Igniter B Prime. Otherwise, I like this website, handy for formulas. Sinken
Yeah, everything with magnalium in bugged out, and I went over quite a few to fix them, but apparently that wasn't all. Thanks a lot for the help though, I'll change everything once I have the time
LambentPyro
No problem, maybe add a printer friendly option on there too. You should also add the Winokurs. Edited January 6, 2014 by LambentPyro
Sinken
I'll put both of those on the todo list. Again, thank you, we appreciate every kind of feedback you have!

All of these should be fixed now, however, there may be more mixups between Cu2O and CuO. I'll try to go through and check, but if anyone happen to find an error, please report back to us. LambentPyro
I'll put both of those on the todo list. Again, thank you, we appreciate every kind of feedback you have!Glad I could help. Formulas need to be refined as much as possible and include very little errors as it may be a risk that could injure the inexperienced Pyro. I would also suggest citing the formulas so the researcher is confident that the formulas are accurate.

I would also suggest citing the formulas so the researcher is confident that the formulas are accurate. Of course, but that's a lot of work, so we're somehwhat relying on help from people who have spare time. There's allready a few who wants to help, luckily. BurritoBandito
I'm not sure if it's because I'm trying to access your site from my iPhone or if I'm just blind, but I can't find the link to create an account. Perhaps I'll try from a PC later.

BurritoBandito
Sinken, I have also encountered an error message while trying to set up my profile. I did not write down any of the technical details, but the description was in some other language (German?). It appears to be a problem with the way that avatars are uploaded. Sinken
Do you have a screenshot of this error, that would help a lot. German sounds really weird, but it might have been Norwegian. We'll try to fix it ASAP Sinken
