Looks like you are well on your way to have a nice stash there. Make sure to get some video of the cakes and stuff.

If you can find some old plastic milk crates, they can be good for some make-shift mortar racks.

I'll post some videos when I light these things, hope everything works out well since this is the first time I do something of this scale :D

I'll be heading over to a friend's who has the money to do "real fireworks" ;) . I'll be bringing all of my cannons and a "new" (for me) type of liquid flame projector. The latter uses a soup (3") or peach can (4") and a simple fused ignition setup to belch out a nice fireball with no fallout whatsoever. I'll soon be looking into the possibility of ematching the lift charges. That would allow me to cluster a number of them for a large effect or to spread them out in a row to create a "wall of fire."

Those look like some nice tubes in your cakes. NEPT? Probably not cheap but might be reusable. I'm used to seeing the chinese stuff where some don't even look glued together (the wraps in the tube that is).

Lots of work but I'm sure it will be impressive. Have you tested your timing in the cakes? How are they fused?

The tubes aren't NEPT, I had them made in mexico to my specifications, 500 tubes + shipping $78 dollars not bad! although the prices went up a little and now I will be paying almost .25 cents (us dlls)each, but still a good price, may be price will drop if I order more than a 1000 tubes.

man! it took me 4 days to pumped all the stars, plugging the cake tubes and inserts took me about 8 hours so you're right lots of work... I haven't had a chance to test the timing yet but I'll be trying some 4 sec/ft, 10 sec/ft and 27 sec/ft fuses, first time working on a project this big "my super cake" as I call it so I hope everything goes well,

Are you located in the US or Mexico? Others may be interested in your source and you might even get a group buy going to get more at a better price. Sounds like the price almost doubled though. Do they seem like a good quality tube?

I live in San Diego, but the tubes get shipped to a friend's house in Tijuana, the tubes are spyral wound I'll say medium to good quality,I've reused some of the tubes without a problem, I'm sure that with a group buy we can get the price drop almost in half I'll be requesting a quotation for 1500 tubes 1"x 6"x 5/32", last quotation was for 500 tubes. we'll see.

Made some red gum BP, picked up some coffee creamer and am headed to the Washington coast to set off a few pots along with some commercial stuff. I'm starting small.
