Pyrotechie
Also could someone with experience in the effects of the type in this film tell me a little more about them and how they are created. Dose it require a metal cone, what material is used and what explosive and quantity would be used to generate the force to lift the material. Mortartube
Cones can be used to give a spread. Many things are blown into the air depending on the effect required and the proximity of actors and or property. Cement dust, cork, fullers earth, clay, bark chippings, lampblack have all been used in my personal experience. Naphthalene for black smoke with fireball (carcinogenic), petrol/diesel mix and these days enhanced with CGI frequently. BP is a good explosive tomuse where possible. Cheap and not too powerful.
Bobosan
Looks like a good re-use of the props from "Enemy at the Gates". Not dissing this movie, it looks like a good one.
