ollie1016 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Hello All, It's bonfire night tomorrow and I have a 1hour slot tomorrow to make some fireworks for the evening.(Any size will do, large open unpopulated fields! ) Before I continue, I am fully aware that proper fireworks can and do take a long time to properly make. However.... I don't want it to be full of salutes, as they are a little boring, to watch over and over. I have access to various mesh sizes of BP, Kraft, hot glue/ PVA, red and orange veline stars, and 2x 2" mortars and an enormous amount of 2&3mm visco. I have access to a large proportion of amatuer pyro chemicals. I've managed to get hold of some 'damaged' but perfectly fine fireworks from supermarkets. Where for example the plastic cover has come off, or the packaging is damaged, or a rocket stick has snapped. ( nothing big at all for a pyro, but a big deal for non pyro's and supermarkets!) so I'll fix those up and use them. Any ideas for 'quick fireworks'? Keep safe all! Col Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 If you`re making gerbs, you could make a few extra for a saxon or two to add a bit of variety. You can make quite a few bag mines in an hour.
LambentPyro Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Try using your fuse as stars, like flying fish, if you have tons of it. Don't rush, think before doing, and be careful. Enjoy the bonfire.

MrB Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I hope everything went of well, and that everyone was safe.Now. The boring part. Never. Ever. EVER make fireworks under a time limit like that. If you cant prepare weeks in advance, just shrug it of, and use some of that (premade) bought stuff you got laying around. (I'm not big on storing stuff i made for ages either. But it's a lot safer to have a few "backup" firework items ready made, then to rush things just to have something to bring.) My friends would hate it if i didn't show up bringing fireworks. They'd hate it even more if i didn't show up at all.B! 1
