leedrill Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 damn VP just keep getting better, keep the vids coming i always enjoy your stuff yeah the crossettes could be a little better but god damn those motors are kick ass i think im going to have to go back to the drawing board with my 3lb core burners to try to match the performance to yours do you mind running me through your methods again what tubes , pressed or rammed , what bp ratio , and spindle dimensions oh and what delay comp did you use this time was it a winokur again cause it looks a lot more white on the cameracheers for sharing the vid
VikingPyrotechnics Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 No problem Tubes have an ID of 19mm. All my rockets are pressed up to 9000psi. Fuel ist straight BP + 3% paraffin wax disolved in acetone. ( For 100g BP, i use 3g wax and 30g acetone )My spindle is 15cm in lenght, 9,5mm at the base and about 3 mm at the tip. For delay i used 8g of Win39. ( only screen mixed )Yes, i got a new camera that films much better than my old one Hope this helps a little bit ?! GreetsVP
fredhappy Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 viking: Well done, again, very entertaining. Thanks bro, keep it up. best fred
Zmuro Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Can you please share the silver composition. The break was perfect.
a_bab Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 And the break as always? BP on cork? Given the fact it was so strong, I guess the shell took lots of it?
VikingPyrotechnics Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Thank you Fred for the kind words @Zmuro The comp was WIN 39 @ a_bab Break was BP on cork and some booster
LambentPyro Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) Wow, that was phenomenal! Thanks for sharing! Didn't know Win 39 was so dense and bright! Edit: What camera did you use to film this? It had no bright white spots, which was perfect. Edited October 29, 2013 by LambentPyrotechnics
leedrill Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 VP i cant get the winokur to work properly did you have any problems with it consolidating mine dosnt want to form a grain even at 10 000psi on the comp. Ive only been trying it in stingers and even with no nozzle the winokur just dosnt want to work for me seeing as your the only one ive seen do it if you can help me get it working id really appreciate it just to say im using win 39J not just win 39 but i dont see that being the issue
VikingPyrotechnics Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 @ LP Camera is a Sony HDR-CX 410 E. @ leedrill I have no problems with the mixture. Even with win39j I never had problems. Whether screen mixed or from the ball mill. Always works without problems.??!!
