Ive used lampblack and a variety of mesh sizes of charcoal for the rising effect and I love it, ive made some stars, rolled my first batch a week ago, ive cut some stars but rolling seems like the way to go

Ya for sure man. Rolled stars are pretty cool. I've salvaged a few from some commercial shells, but thats it.I just haven't got around to build a roller. As of now I just don't make enough stars to justify a roller. What do you use for cores? I like the look of those cylinder pressed stars too.

I used mustard seeds as cores, just an old corded drill and a 5gallon bucket, not very ideal and actually a pain most of the time but for now it works I guess. ya, id love to have a 3/4 or 1" multi type star plate, just want to get my rockets in the air right now though.

I hear ya. My new desire is to make some P blue. I need CUO though. I hate to buy it by itself because of the $20 shipping, so I guess I'll wait until I've got some more chems to order with it to reduce the shipping cost per lb

Me too! If it works for you I could head up your way sometime in the next week and pick them up. I want to get some stars made and dried in time for the rocketdezvous ;) If it doesn't work for you I'll just wait until the shoot. I've got a bunch of TT's I can use.

Cool man. tomorrow is my late day and I've got classes from 3-7pm. I'll be free anytime before or after those hours. I'm good on the class C, but thanks. I'm gonna hold out for the group buy and save some dough if you know what I mean.
