pyroman2498 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I know this is a sensitive topic , but i'm always curious to knowWhere were you 9/11 , What do you remember ? If your from a different country and dont know what 9/11 is,9/11 is when The World Trade Center ( The Twin Towers ) Was attacked , The pentagon was attacked , and another airplane was flown into the ground before it could hit anything else, This if i remember right was the worst terrorist attack in history of America ( Please Correct me If I'm wrong ) My story is short , 3 years before this happened in ( 1998 ) i was born in New York , just outside the city, Well 3 years later while i'm in Ny , the attack happened , the only thing i can remember isn't even a memory, is just i image of the tv that was on i think CNN .. I know this is a sensitive subject, and you dont have to post anything if you dont want to, i'm just curious to know where your were, and what you remember , and maybe what you were doing at the time. God bless all that lost their lives, and the brave who stopped the last plane from crashing into another building. gold bless the families who were affected by this , my thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a quote from a guy who got out of the twin towers alive " People ask me why i'm so happy all the time, and i tell them ""Everyday is a happy day when a building isn't falling on you, i'm luck to make it out alive "" " God bless all of you, Stay safe , and have a good night.
Shadowcat1969 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I was actually in the shower when the first plane impacted. Then in the car driving to work when the second one hit. I was working for a subsidiary branch of Lehman Brothers bank, here in Colorado and it was very tense for a short time at work, most of us knew at least one person that worked for Lehman in one of the towers. Thankfully only one of the employees there was killed. We surmise he was in the elevator going to get his morning cup of coffee, as he always did, in the lobby when the plane actually hit. About 2 hours later they sent us home for the day.
Peret Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I was in bed still sleeping, when my brother phoned me from Australia and told me to turn on the TV.
NightHawkInLight Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I was 11, sitting at the kitchen table doing homework. If I remember right both towers had already been hit by the time I started watching the news, but I may have seen the second one hit. At the time New York seemed about as far away as Istanbul so the only thing I remember specifically about the whole event is how the towers collapsed straight down onto themselves rather than falling over.
flying fish Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 The thing I remember was my mom almost giving me a heart attack. When I got home from school she was in the front yard and she told me: "So your dad was on a plane to New York today" ... *Long pause* ... "But don't worry he already called and told me he was fine."
