chrisward90 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 hey question for uk users or anyone that knows. Anybody know of a good website thats ships things like mortar tubes and stuff like that to the uk. Been looking at the turbo pyro pdf from skylighter and i decided it was the best place to start just need the stuff used to create the fireworks but not sure if skylighter ships out of the us. Any help would be appreciated thanks
Arthur Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Simply put, US suppliers don't ship outside the US. What mortars do you want? I'm UK based and have a few smaller sizes surplus to needs.

ollie1016 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Copperman is expensive. Pyrofan.eu is a polish site that I use. The only problem is the £18 delivery charge. However the fuse is dirt cheap compared to the uk, and so are the mortar tubes. Oliverbrown is probably you best bet! I would highly recommend. Good prices, friendly, helpful and fast delivery.
karliWadt Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I use Oliver brown pyrotechnics personally. Good rates and decent selection. Only thing i can complain about is once had problems with their quick match but was a very minor problem
chrisward90 Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 thanks for all he replies been using oliver brown bought some perchlorate from there im guessing it legit from all he recommendations not quite sure about the perc. i ordered. seen coopermans was a tad expensive gonna have a look at pyro gear now
Mia Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 With Pyrogear .co.uk you have to ask for chemicals.
mikeee Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I thought Nafta was suppose to increase trade with other countries. The only increase has been a one way street of cheap imports coming into the country. An increase in shipping costs and regulations make it a pain in the ass to ship anything outside the borders.I can order a $2.00 item directly from China and get it shipped to my door for a total of $5.00.If I want to send a $2.00 item to China it costs me a minimum of $25.00 along with a pile of red tape and questions. Not sure why they call it free trade. (Free for them, but not me)
taiwanluthiers Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 It depends on how heavy the 2 dollar item is I guess... if it was a 2 dollar drill bit I am sure you can send it in a stamped envelope anywhere in the world for around 2 dollars, but if it was a 2 dollar plastic stool then it will cost a lot more (lots of volume despite low weight). As for paperwork I'm not sure what you mean, you just fill out a custom form that tells them what it is, and all you have to be is be truthful in it. However I have no idea how are companies like iherb.com able to send orders pretty much worldwide with such low shipping cost... am I missing something?
Bobnhead Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Speaking of suppliers, I was a very good customer for Adam at Hobby Chemicals. I spent quite a bit of money with him and even got a Christmas card! I made an order last year which was procrastinated for months and I eventually gave up. He doesn't reply to my emails yet I notice the company is still supplying but won't talk to me. There were no issues as far as I'm aware, all bills paid up front. Can anyone share any light as to what's going on with HC?
