NightHawkInLight Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I don't know that camera specifically, but the most important factor is to set the focus to manual and put it to infinity. If you're using super bright metallic stars your ISO should be on the lowest setting possible. 160 or 200 or whatever it is. If they're pretty dim stars like blue or charcoal streamers you might turn the ISO up to around 400. I assume you can't adjust the shutter speed or aperture on that camera so focus and ISO should be all you need to mess with. Even more important than the camera settings is to get the fireworks in frame so pay attention to where you're pointing it and don't shake it all over the place. Move it slowly and smoothly if you're going from pointing one place to another. If you're swinging it wildly around trying to catch everything it will give you a headache to watch. Better to miss some of the fireworks than to have footage too shaky and jumpy to be worth watching.
pyroman2498 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 If you have a DSLR by a chance , a wide angle prime lens seems to work best for me .
