AirsoftSmokeScreen Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Hi, I didn't post here long time ago and I have a question ( maybe stupid)I know that Chlorates reacts dangerous with sulfur but I'm not sure about other chlorine mixtures: What happens in a mixture of an oxidizer (KNO3), sulfur, aluminum powder and ordinary table salt (NaCl) ? The sodium will probably give a yellow color to the flare ( as Sodium Benzoate or baking soda), but the chlorine will react somehow with the sulfur? Thanks
Mumbles Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Adding sodium chloride will not really affect the sensitivity. It may however make the mix more susceptible to degradation due to water. 1
