Were you able to retrieve any of the reports from the shell?

You probably should hold off on using any form of flash powder until you get the basics down.

You have to give us more details, or perhaps pictures, for us to really be able to help.

Interesting inserts, I agree with Mumbles about the flash. You shouldn't need a booster if the shell is already breaking fine.

Depending on how much break charge you are using they could be blowing blind.

Also you mentioned they landed in water?

Could it be that the time fuse was too long resulting in the inserts landing in the water and going out.

Perhaps try a hotter prime.

Salut, ca va?

So, a couple of questions:

- what size and shape of shell are you using?

- how was the shell constructed? How many layers / wraps of pasting?

- what kind of BP is on your rice hulls? Milled or greenmix?

- How much burst did you use? How much flash powder did you add?

The issue is, like most people here assume, that you can easily get your inserts to blow blind. Especially if you use small shells and booster, it is quite easy to overdo it. If you use a hot BP and more than a dusting of 70/30 flash, it is just too much. I would suggest you try it again, just use 4 or so inserts to check what happens. Don't fill them with salute mix but with a little of a color comp and a really short timefuse for better visibility. Basically if they light without flash booster, you should be fine and if they don't light you don't leave small flash inserts stewn across the countryside for someone to find.

Next thing to mention - how do you prime your inserts? I see some biiiig glob of prime. If you want to make sure your inserts light, do the following. Cut the timefuse, prime it with a thin layer of BP-slurry by dipping, then fold the blackmatch across it and tie it down with a little bit of string. No need for excessive priming that will break off with the burst and blackmatch is one of the things that will take fire really easy.

Salut, oui ça va et toi ? :) tu es français ou parle français ?

It's a cylindrical shell 3inch, the break is BP meal rice hulls, the prime of my time reports is hot prime with black match.

For the boost i don't know, (i think) about 10gr but i think i not remembers

You say short time fuse, but how cm ?
