NightHawkInLight Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Found a pretty crazy video of volcanic activity. I had no idea they could detonate(?) at supersonic speeds. I also found this, which I thought was pretty interesting: Basically a lava charcoal cooker with the off gassing boiling out and disturbing the surface. I'd find it pretty entertaining to toss my yard trimmings in every weekend if I were nearby.
FlaMtnBkr Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I bet a 100 lb block of ice would be interesting in the second video.
Mumbles Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Honestly with the temperature differences we're talking about here, it probably wouldn't make any difference. 2000 vs 32F is still basically the same as 2000 vs 70F.
NightHawkInLight Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 Maybe, but you might end up with a thermite vs ice type of result as well. I wonder how dry ice would fare.
FlaMtnBkr Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 You mean use twelveish gallons of water instead? Yeah I'm sure that would work fine. But either would probably be more impressive than a bag of "camp trash". Guess that's all I was saying.
