Best small rocket

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i had to share this one even though the timing was off a bit.

It's a 10mm endburner with a 40mm rondelle to bs shell that ended too quickly, spread over two seconds would give a better effect.

Questions and comments welcome

Build vids if needed.

Very cool!

Not bad.

Looked pretty good. It appeared to be more of a ring of salutes instead of a rondelle though.

Cheers guys, I'm thinking of going bigger on a one pound nzless. I didn't want these coming down as the little endburner I put it on only gets this high with a heavy ish header so I went for short delay between break and reports.

When I lined the fuses up they were shorter at one end of the row but obviously not enough difference between them. Be better if there was

One or two Seconds from first to last report.

You should be able to see the tubes are numbered.

Weigh in.

Overall I'm quite pleased for a first attempt, keeping the weight down interfered with the results though.

Sorry for the multiple files I can't edit YouTube with my phone yet.

Bs was little to fast. But anyways, shell looked amazing!. Love mini multi breaks.

Good job! 10mm (2oz)? That's the size I've been experimenting with and having fun.

What height do you think you got on that? It looked low to me but maybe it was just the angle...

50-60ft perfect for this size. They go higher with more bp in the motor, this had 4.5g at least half

A gram is wasted as the grain burns out.

A small report can be carried high by these with 6g bp but I have over lifted small shells and can't see the effects.

4.5g bp lifting 75g more efficient than a mortar :)

I'm sorry for the stupid question but whenever I see "bs" I think of my initials  . What is bs referring to again?
Posted (edited)

I think of something else when I see bs :)

In this case it means bottom shot.

Thanks for the clarification and yes. many do think of something else, but I find it humorous to have those initials.

Very nice one, thank you for the video.

I love that caliber too, 10mm is great for small experiments.

75g sounds very much for an endburner. I did whistle motors (36mm spindle!) of that size that did 75g and I think they will do 100g, but that can't be compared...

What was the takeoff-weight that specific rocket?

Thanks, yes it is a good size for experiments to be honest my only truly dialled in motors.

The header is 28.8g on the scales (above) I didn't weigh the finished rocket because they normally are 70-75g, with headers under 30g and a 1 ounce stick. I have lifted more total weight with these but 75g is about the limit to be safe.
