kpknd Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) Other than the Mag. Naptaline and Hexachloroethane, has anyone made a descent black smoke that works as well as any colored smoke? I purchased some black smoke dye from Walrus Ent. at coloredsmoke.com and it came with an instruction sheet for the formulation. It works best if mixed with a thinned NC laquer binder and made into pellets. If pressed dry into a tube it burnes irraticaly with an increase and decrease of burnining giving several chuffs. In either case, it is more of a dark brownish gray or if lit unconfined it has a more olive green color. Edited March 22, 2013 by kpknd
