Let me ask a serious questions .

If Your Country is Illegal on fire fireworks , and explosive content . Will you still fire them or make them ?

Let me tell you , my country is Malaysia and its illegal to fire explosvie firework or something .

We able to get them from some illegal seller with some chinese fireworks like cake . most of them are salutes , CHERRY BOMB ! huge cherry bomb ! thunder king or something .

This is what i got from some seller and buy them with expensive price . lets say , a 3inch shell cost around 450MYR which is 144USD/SHELLS .

i bought one 1.4g diameter around 1.5cm 49 shots for around 40USD .

Anyone can help me think , its illegal in my country but when i get the cake its writting ''Selamat Hari Raya'' which mean a new year for Malay . My Country has 4 new year which is Chinese New Year , Hari Raya ( Malay) Happy Deepavali (Indian New Year ) and merry Christmas.

i am curios why it will print as the word . Did China Supply for us ? Or someone is taking advantage by import this illegal stuff with some $$$ ? i

and who can explain to me how did china know my country celebrate ? since when my country is free for firing a fireworks ? did china supply them ?

I france it's illegall to make firework by yourself,but you can buy normal firework which are really expensive too but not as your! we have access to good and cheap pyro-supplier so making firework is not very expensive,

but as i have already say,it's illegal,and the penal sanctions are very,very strict! you can go in prison.. they are too severe! but it's depend of what type of firework you make,if you make shell and shoot them in a safe area you will have no problem,but if you make just salutes and bomb,big firecracker it's an other story...

where do you get your chemicals? are they expensive too ?

 

140$ for a 3inch shell!! i think you can buy them cheaper ! You can find some firework seller site who may ship to the world wide, but when you shoot them it's really visible....it's depend of your location too.If you shoot them,be relly,really safe,have an extinctor,shoot them in a safe area too,if the police come they will see that you pay attention to the security!

 

if they are firework show on the new years or others event and If you are major you can maybe inform you to become pyrotechnist

In my country it is illegal too to make your own fireworks so I'm a little paranoid when I go and test them

I always have a story in my head in case I get caught.

As all I do is flares/smoke bombs/bengal and ground pyro I have two "stories":

If I get caught with lights I will said to them that from curiosity I collect a couple of commercial sparklers and put them in a cardboard to see the effect

If I get caught with smokes I will say are made from ping-pong balls ( sounds childish) but it is better than tell them is from Potassium nitrate and sugar

But I hope I would not have the occasion to tell the " stories"

P.S. and I had an idea about make them look they are bought To put a fake label on them

thanks , only several companies can hold fireworks with licensed for new year show . my customs will stop them and look for me in second if i asking to ship world wide . my chemical do costly too . i need to get a ball mill so hard . i have to get ball mill . if not i cant make anything .

In Israel it's illegal to buy, sell or make your own fireworks, but I as well as many other people make and fire fireworks regularly.

There are very few open spaces like fields and orchards where you can safely fire your fireworks without running the chance that the police will run into you.

Every explosion can be mistaken for a rocket or a suicide attack so you need to be really careful and relocate every so often to avoid police and even military patrols that will come to check the source of the explosion.

You guys should be careful talking about the fact that you illegally manufacture pyrotechnic devices. The Internet does not offer the veil of anonymity that you may think it does. What are the consequences of being caught in your country? I don't expect you to not make them at all but globally broadcasting your illegal activities over the Internet is not a smart thing to do... Just my 2 cents.

Talk is legal, getting busted with illegal stuffs aren't. Here in Sweden it's illegal to make your own fireworks. Sadly, i got busted already, years ago.

MrB... I think it fair to say that while talk may be legal (in some countries possibly not) but self incrimination is not wise. It may be legal to talk about what you do but if the activities aren't then you just provided evidence. By all means make your own choices but I don't think it's beneficial to any member of this forum (or the forum itself) to make a post that advertises that you do not follow regulations.

Well, not knowing how the law works everywhere else, all i can say is that here, in Sweden, it doesn't really matter. You can sit here and shout out what you do, how you do it, and why. They still need "probable cause" to be allowed to search your home, and even then you have to be suspected of a crime giving 2 years of jail-time. Forum posts, and such isn't going to get the law what they need to bash our doors down. However, that said, if you do end up in court, your day will be filled with the worst quotes the prosecutor could find. It may only be circumstantial, but it wont make it easier to get away unscratched from your day in court. I got lucky, and got a slap on the wrist as far as the trial and it's consequences goes. But i'd rather not do that again.

Know of it, yes. Haven't bought anything there myself, pricing being the cause. As far as i know there is nothing requiring a license. (for now) Rumor has it they are fairly easy to deal with, fluent in Swedish & English. Dunno about Norwegian, but then again, if you do it by mail, they'll deal with it, i'm sure.

To be quite honest, I'm not even quite sure of the legality of making your own fireworks here.

I haven't heard or read of any laws forbidding the manufacturing of regular fireworks, so I just assume that whatever I'm doing is fine as long as I don't use it to damage anyone.

You need to be over 18 to buy certain substances, such as potassium nitrate, they'll take down your ID and everything, but they're still quite fine with you buying it, even if you tell them you want to build a KNO3/Su rocket in your back yard.

 

And I know from other forums, self-incrimination is generally to be avoided.

The slimmest way of avoiding it is simply referring to yourself as SWIM (Someone Who Isn't Me)
