kpknd Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Did'nt know where to go so I let it be known on the rocketry page. Just found the APC forum and became a member. My main interest is rocketry and motor making. This time of year most motors are black powder and taped to a stick with a simple heading. Other motors are used in model rockets BP and Composite. I am interested in the various kinds if headings that I can use for my stick rockets other than flying fish fuse and falling leaves or flash, but am not real exi\cited about having a bunch of chemicals all over the place. Been doing the rocket thing for about 15 years.
nater Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 With the chems needed to make BP, you can make some simple and attractive charcoal stars. Then, you can invest in a few different metals like Ti and Atomized Aluminum and make different effects with the same charcoal stars.
psyco_1322 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 You could also roll flash cores, and roll the charcoal comps over them for color changing effects. You can more that likely make some silver streamers too. Plus any type of timed report headers are nice and easy, it's a better use of flash IMO. You could make some pretty interesting cylinder shell headers.
