LTUPyro Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Hi,Im about to buy few kilos of Kno3, but here is with ACA and without ACA. What does mean ACA and wich one you would recommend for BP?
AirCowPeacock Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I'm sure it means an anti-caking agent is added. I would go for the one without an anti-cakeing agent, it's not neccicary in black powder and may slow you powder if it contains particularly high amounts of anti-cakeing agent, which chinese oxidizers--I'm told--generally have to much of, even if advertised as containing "less than 0.5%." Anyways, I've never had problems with Potassium nitrate caking.

AirsoftSmokeScreen Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) I use the brand Krista K Plus which has the tendency to cake but for my pyro works perfect. The NPK is 13.7-0-46 and the purity is about 99.8% from what I remember.Plus I bought a 25 kilograms bag for 45 dollars Also last year I've used the brand Multi-K from Haifa that didn't have the tendency to cake but it was a little bit slower because it had 2% Magnesium and other ingredients... P.S. If I'm not allowed to say products and brands please tell me or edit my message Edited February 14, 2013 by AirsoftSmokeScreen
