While it is pure, I see no problem, make sure your mixer is clean and keep fuels away.

You can use something like a small coffee grinder, as long as you don't use that grinder for any other chemicals that might cause contamination or have incompatibilities. As in: don't use the same coffee grinder for KClO3 and fuels.

How do you mix compositions without a screen? Just stirring almost always leads to inferior integration and results.

Use a window screen or a kitchen colander. They are a cheap and easy to obtain item
