I think is ok, this is the perfect model for my rocket parachute

 

the flare was short but very bright (the video we see it, but in reality was bright white)

it was a simple composition kno3/AL/sulfur

 

the rocket motor is a 14mm coreburner ignited with a sparkler (i don't have visco fuse....)

 

the rocket nice flight and the parachute have a perfect deploy

What was the ratio on that flare mix? I am looking for an easy flare recipe to try in my re-loadable 26.5mm flare cases.

60% of potassium nitrate/30 % of aluminium powder/10% of sulfur

 

or

50% of pitassium nitrate/30%of aluminium powder/20% of sulfur (note:this composition is fast...but very luminous)

 

mix the composition with the flash powder mix method

 

bind with alcool and press with your HAND,NO MALLET

 

dry the packed composition 1 week (for a 100% dry)
