VickeA Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Hi,I have been building 3" canister shells with chrysanthemum 6 or D1 gold glitter stars. Now I think its time for some color. Would like a green and a red pumpable star comp. I would prefer low priming and relatively small amount of different chemicals. Any suggestions? Also should i make them 6 mm(1/4") or 8mm ( 5/16")?
mabuse00 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) Emarald Green/Ruby Red is a very popular one and can be pumped when bound with dextrine ect. The difference is only in barium- or strontium nitrate being used. Priming is relativly easy in comparison to most other barium nitrate green stars. BP+ 5% metal should always work with both formulas, with the red one BP only could suffice. Also should i make them 6 mm(1/4") or 8mm ( 5/16")? I would prefer 8mm, but that's a matter of personal taste... Edited November 17, 2012 by mabuse00
AlexPyro66 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I believe for canister shells the cut stars are the best because they pack better.
