dangerousamateur Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 If you have medium quality bp and the star fits with a little play, how many BP do you need?Just curious.
dagabu Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) I use 1g of 7FA in my 1/2" star gun but have used as much as 2g (sorry, fat fingers) with long burning AP red stars. Unless the star is a tight fit, it's hard to over-lift them in a steel star gun. -dag Edited November 7, 2012 by dagabu
dangerousamateur Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 5g Your stars are be pretty tough huh?... Lift Must have filled a good part of the tube...?
Algenco Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 never measured, just dumped a little in (2g at least) push a small wad of paper on top and shoot! oops just noticed your using 1/2", I use a capped piece of 3/4" copper pipe
Col Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I use 2 - 2.5g for 3/4" tubes, i find small grained lift is better than chunky stuff
TheArchitect23 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 1.5 for 3/4''1 for 1/2''3 for 1''depending on loads. i try to fill the tube with a row of stars or a good scoop of micros.more weight less lift. less weight more lift.
