Dean411 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 This is the newest item to add to my Pyro arsenal. Questions or comments welcome. Dean
marks265 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 That looks really good Dean. If it were me I would want an extra inch at each end for ease of handling and ejection. That should work well. Mark
Dean411 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Mark, thanks for the feedback here is why i did it the way I did; but I can make whatever someone specifically wants. I actually have a setup with a pnuematic cylinder that ejects them for me onto a piece of stretched out bedsheet and the weight of the plate isn't bad the 2" piece was a leftover from another plate and I didn't want to give up 2 holes by making a handle to eject them when it wasn't needed for how I have my setup. marks265 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I figured you were up to something like that. I always use blocks on each end so they only drop an 1/8" or so. It sure is nice to make your own stuff and the less pressing the better. Hey press a few for me while your at it.
pyrojig Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 A great set no doubt. !!! Isn't it wonderful to have high quality machining to go along with your creative mind... A skilled machinist and in-visionary can create anything ( watch out Walterpyro). Good job. It is really nice to see the talent on this site.
klofutaric Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Very nice, are your pistons outer ID slightly smaler then the hole size, so you can easier break them apart when refiling.
