brimstoned Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) I was was looking for some kind of trouble to get into today, and there is a new fuel sitting about I haven't worked with yet; 75% Sr(NO3)215% Calcium lignosulfonate10% S Milled 3 hours Left fair amount of residue but produced almost no smoke. Packed in a gerb, the paper blackened as the comp burnedbut there was no apparent flame and little smoke. In an open cup however...blinding! The camera shows the core as yellow but this is not the case to the eye.I'll have to try this in some stars. I'm also thinking the fine, fluffy Ca compound mike make an impressive creamora... brimstoned Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Indeed! I have lots of Saran...I'll also see about doubling the fuel to 30%, most of the slag I think is Sr(NO3)2remnants, and the Ca l. is much heavier than charcoal would be in the same ratio.
