allard Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Hi im rigging some thing newim after using flash paper in a old staged pc so when the power supply boots up the power supply or temperature rise sets of the flash offit needs to look totally spontaneous i dont want any additional triggers beyond a totally normal looking somewhat old pc, this so people can get up close and see its a normal pc probably with a clear side window.do you think the temp would get high enough or the intial electical signal significant enough to light the flash paper secreted somewhere subtle.
dan999ification Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 i think this is dangerous, no one should be near pyro if they dont know its there, giving you instructions is unlikely in the event of someone filling a pc with something more energetic.Dont play with pyro, theres more than one way to make a practical joke, plus the computer would probably be ruined. Dan.I hope you feel no offence in my opinion.
Bangkokpyro Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 You idea sound like a bad one for reasons already given by Dan. just out of interest what is Magnesium flash paper ?
brimstoned Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) If you can still find one, why not just wire in an old-fashioned photoflash bulb to the power supply?Dan's spot-on about energetic compositions in a metal box. Edited October 6, 2012 by brimstoned
