The504 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) This is the first Mortar rack I've ever build. It has Three 2.5in and One 3in Mortar. What do you think? Edited September 1, 2012 by The504
nater Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 What is your means of stabilizing the rack once it is set? Kickboards that screw into the sides, stakes?

dagabu Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Thinking about putting eye loops on the sides then putting rebar through them. Yup, that what we did for the past 40 years or so and what we still do with single racks such as that one. -dag
nater Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 ^^ Same here for single racks. I only use kickboards on single racks that are on asphalt or something else I can't pound rebar into. Looks nice, and reminds me I still need to make a dedicated rack for club shoots with each size of mortar I use.
Peret Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Nice job, 504 - better than my first rack that fell apart the first time I dropped it. I have some used professional 4 inch racks cluttering up my garage, five 24 inch long HDPE mortars in each. I'll be taking them to Do It and hope not to take them home again.
