Just thought I'd start a thread for videos of product that we made and shot at the PGI convention this year.

I'll start it off with my competition entries:

4th place in Best Small Rocket: A 1lb whistle motor with titanium tail with a 4” Sun and Planets header. The first break of the header is a dark opening with a ring of green inserts. The second break, is a break of titanium streamer comets.

3rd place in Best Medium Cylinder Shell: 4” three break. First break is a Shell of Shells with 2 breaks of color inserts, first green then red, and then a break of simultaneously timed reports with titanium. The second break has a gold glitter comet outer with blue inner. Followed by a bottom shot. This received 3rd place.

1st place in Best Small Shell: A 3” three break Draw Out cylinder shell. First break is a break of gold glitter stars with 4 timed reports. The second break has a break of titanium streamer comets with simultaneously timed reports with titanium. Followed by a bottom shot.

Continued in the next post because it will only let me embed 3 videos...

Then for fun I made a, poorly timed, 4" 5 time hammer with alternating report to inserts with timed reports, followed by a bottom shot.

Last is a 5" ball shell, green with silver comets.

Psyco and I also tested some motors on Peret's test stand which I am interested in seeing results from. Psyco may have video of those.

Now let's see everyone else's handiwork!

Edit: I forgot to mention, all of the reports in the shells above that contained Ti used Star Molecule Al. Thanks Star!

Hard to follow up some of those videos. I made a few rockets. I am happy with the motors, not so happy with the headers. I am pretty sure I know what went wrong with my headers, so I will try again soon.

Nater,

I missed out on some good stuff it appears...was I building the 6's, coating rice hulls, or working on another dola?

Thanks for the vids so I can keep track of all that was going on (and all of those here I never met) that you were hanging out with!

Your best bet right now is to look it up on YouTube, PGI 2012. There are over 100 videos posted so far.

The All Stars Tribute to Don and Nadine Rowe. Not my video or my shells, but incredible work by the best builders at the convention.

Another video to add, this one was a 4 inch "cross" pattern shell. I was just using stars I had on hand, so the pattern isn't as apparent, but I believe it is there.

Ps. Bangkok, it is too bad you weren't giving away a former for best small shell as well, then I would have come home with one :) always another year I guess.
