Col Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 They`re a lot prettier than mine, i use chunks of 28mm hardwood curtain pole with holes drilled in them

Dean411 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) Those are wonderful Dean. I think everyone could use a set of those! -dagnicest part is if the fuse is cut the same length the timing is perfect everytime.Anyone willing to send me a sample tube I will make them a set. $20 for aluminum$30 for brassUp to 11/4 ID tube slightly more if any larger. One other thing you notice is the plug is recessed inside that's because after you press the plug and fuse you can press a rising tail while its still on the toolOne rammer with a fuse hole and flat faced rammer. Just send me a personal message. Dean Edited October 23, 2012 by Dean411
Col Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Hi DeanA tube extender is quite useful for pressing tail comps flush with the tube. You can vary the thickness of the tail comp by moving the clay plug location to maximise the space in the tube for stars. Some tail comps burn faster than others so they need to be a bit thicker.
Dean411 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Nice inserts Col, Sorry for highjacking your thread Blackthumb at the time I thought I started this thread Dean
