californiapyro Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Hello APC, I try not to do multi-posts, but I thought this may interest some of you. I am doing a production run of star plates on the CNC, and they will be very good items. Check it out here if you want, I will answer any questions you may have! http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/7531-high-quality-star-plates/page__pid__98551#entry98551 -Hunter
Dean411 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Hunter, Make the pins a 32nd longer than the thickness of the female plate this length does not included the length you plan to seat them in the male plate otherwise the pin plate will only push them out half way and you will ruin the stars trying to pull them out the rest of the way. Dean,
californiapyro Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Dean, The pins are slightly longer, by about 1/16th. Thank you for the tip -Hunter
