dynomike1 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Looks like it takes a lot of driven to change rpm's. 6 or 7 doesn't seem to matter.
Bobosan Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Your range is running approximately 53 to 79 rpm depending on pulley sizes chosen. If you already have the 3" and a 7" on order...go with it based on your other dimensions (roller bar and jar diameter). Those pulleys get expensive when large sizes are picked unless you come across some surplus stuff.
Bobosan Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 No problem Dynomike. Let us know how it turns out...the mill and powder. You using lead or ceramic?
dynomike1 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Got my mill running today. I used a 3" drive pulley and a 7" driven, it turned out 67rpm's, maybe later i will put a 2" drive pulley on it. Thanks for the help Bob.
dynomike1 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 (edited) I put 10lbs. of Ceramic in and it slowed down to 61 rpm's. Sounds fast enough and to dam loud. http://www.myhostedpics.com/images/dynomike1/1305050002.jpg Edited May 5, 2013 by dynomike1
