Hey guys! (and gals) Im very new to fireworks making so Im still very open for advice.

But here are some pictures of my first mill. Took quite a while to build but seems to be well worth it. I've used it twice and so far, it seems to have made some pretty Hot BP.

I like it. What's the motor originally made for? Reminds me of a benchtop grinder.

I found the motor at a slavage yard dangling off of a large broken Craftsman drill Press. They wanted like 75 bucks for the broken DP, so I offered them 25 just for the motor and they said "fine". I carefully looked at the ID tag and it read "1750 RPM, single Phase, TEFC. Edited by ribrown

Nice BM.

They are well worth the time/expense/labor to build.

What are you using for grinding media?

For media, I bought 25 lbs of 1/2 lead from Steve Young. 150 bucks shipped to my door.

Hey guys, I'm brand new to fireworks and am experienced in the chemistry aspect but lack experience in tooling. Any recommendations on what to get started with and if I could make it? I'm very inventive so design/building would not be a problem. I am just unaware of the functions/purpose/types of necessary tooling. Thanks!
