dan999ification Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 looks good to me as for attatching small flowers/shells you could try hemp twine or other flame resistant strings with good high tensile strength, tie a loop, paste it onto the shell with the first few layers of kraft then tie them together with pasted twine/string. dan.
warthog Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 did you already remove the movie or is it me? sometimes it is a Mac thing... sounds like a good idea to me though.
JFeve81 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 did you already remove the movie or is it me? sometimes it is a Mac thing... sounds like a good idea to me though. Must just be you. The movie works fine for me.
warthog Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Must just be you. The movie works fine for me. :( Oh well, bet it looks good.
Givat Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 dan, do you have maybe some picture of connecting with pasted hemp twine? warthog, I uploaded the movie to youtube, I guess it will work better on mac.
warthog Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) Thanks Givat! I appreciate that a lot. I see what you are talking about now. Did you take a look at the 10" one Jwdrummer did here in the same area? He posted some pix of his shell prior to launch plus they are also up in his gallery so maybe you can zoom in a bit on them. He also describes his method in the same thread so maybe there is something there for you as well. You can find hemp twine at Hobby Lobby & other places like this as well as many online sources. It is all I use for pyro as knots stay knotted without slippage and it is really strong. here is the link to that other thread...http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/7029-10-aerial-shell-entry/ Edited March 5, 2012 by warthog
