For tumbling rocks, its fine.

 

However, I would suggest you find a TEFC motor instead.

 

TEFC = Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled.

 

The motor you have has exposed armatures.

 

Meaning if a flammable or explosive powder comes in contact with that area of the motor.

 

More than likely, either flames or an explosion will occur.
