Chemguy Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Ok I'm sure all of you have done something horrificaly embarrassing, I know I have. Most of my cases of embarrassment have been caused by laughing at inappropriate times. Not a good thing to do. Try keep everything under control, ie not very dodgy things. Here is one of my stories. I was at a formal prizegiving at the end of form 3, there were lots of parents and teachers and the principal etc. The teacher was calling out the names for the chess championships, when all of a sudden she said the funniest last name I had ever heard, and to make it worse she mispronounced it and said it again. It was very long. I knew it was sad to laugh at someones last name, but I couldn't help it, my friend must have been the same. I held my nose and everything not to laugh, my form teacher kept looking at me and my friends. The person with the long last name looked at us. That was scary. Everyone clapped and we laughed it out but that was the hardest 5 minutes of trying not to laugh I can remember.
