TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Well, after seeing several shells being made, the question that keeps arising for me is why are all the components of the shell isolated from each other with tissue paper? It seems to me that it wouldnt change the shell too much if burst filled every cranny of the shell, if anything make the break better.
Mumbles Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I've always seen it explained that it keeps everything in place, and from shifting. You don't want to close up a shell and have the burst leak in between your stars, or have your inner petal distort from spherical. A well packed shell is critical to good performance. It makes some people feel better about using BP burst with chlorate stars as well.

I for one just find using dividers easier to keep everything aligned properly.
