TheSidewinder
I think you did a very good job on that shell. Way to go!
qwezxc12
I fired This tonight, it was a 4" gummed tape shell, it was my first colour changing so to speak. what do you think? Very nice! Care to share details of the star comps? Not many people roll DE onto stars as a layer...it looked (and sounded) very nice. Did you roll the DE with NC lacquer over the blue cores? Sambo
Thanks for the comments, the blue was Pihko KP and CuO blue then the layer of small dragons eggs (<60 mesh) were rolled along with si prime with water/alc solution, then win 20 to finish. I love these stars) And the Silver stremer comet: (To little lift (Just starting with PB lift,) and these stars jet like hell)
FrankRizzo
Here's a video of a 4lb strobe with 4" ball shell filled with Tiger Tail stars on top, failing catastrophically. The white specs are coarse titanium that I put in the delay section. I think I cracked the grain on this one while removing it from the spindle. I purposely left in the bystander comments because they are so relevant to the rocket's performance. The voice you here at the beginning talking about jinxing himself is Dan Creagan of the MoPyro's. You can hear my friend and I exclaiming when it appears that the fuse has fallen out just before ignition. Turn up your speakers for this one. http://pyrobin.com/files/vlcsnap-11577953.pnghttp://pyrobin.com/files/spectacular%204lb...robe%20cato.avi BTW, Dan's rocket fired next , and it worked perfectly...no jinx. cplmac
This is the show my brother and I do every year, it's a HUGE file but a fun watch. Warning, 554 MB file, my site will push it just fine but if you are on dial up you should probably skip this one. RanchBlast 2007 I enjoyed the vid Frank, I think some of us have seen that play out many times.... Edited September 20, 2008 by cplmac
justanotherpyro
Here are the 6" shells from my July 4th shoot. There were several 3" and 4" shells as well but I don't want to hassle with the video splitter any more unless there were ones that worked exceptionally well. 6" red with glitter pistil 6" glitter 6" TT 6" Shell of shells. This one worked out alright, I didn't break it very hard so that the shells would all ignite, but it still looked good.
oskarchem
Nice shells, JAP! Well maybe apart for the 6" red with glitter pistil.
justanotherpyro
Yeah I had some issues making the stars for that one, and decided not to remake them because I didn't want to use up 600g more of red comp.

cplmac
Cpl, please tell me thats a 12" shell. I am already very excited. That is a 12" shell, my first. It is loaded with 64 1.75" 75g TT comets, I thought originally that TT would be a good way to keep the weight down but this shell is 20+ pounds which is spot on for any commercial 12. I'm hoping to have it airborne before the week is over.
