Can I stick the fuse from a cake, rocket, fountain, etc in the e-match shield and tape them up and it work ok? Is there a better way of doing it? Thanks for the help, Monty

It might work, but I do not like anything to rub against the end of an e-match that is inside the shield. They are friction sensitive, the shield is there to protect the end of the match and to direct the flame towards whatever you are lighting.

For cakes and fountains, I use a short length of quick match, tape the fuse of the cake inside the piping of the match and stick the e-match, shroud and all, inside the other end of the QM and secure with tape. I've never had problems with passing fire using this method.

For individual consumer shells, I either punch a hole in the lift cup and stick the match in the lift, or use a similar method with a small piece of QM at the end of the shell's leader. It all depends how close I want to control the timing.

For flights of shells, I use different speeds of visco to chain up a whole rack, and use one match the same way I use cakes.

Thanks, I was worried about sticking the e-match directly against the visco fuse. Quick match and quick fuse rapped in a leader pipe sounds like the best deal, Thanks for your ideas and help, Monty
