de186602177aa Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I made some flash powder the other day and was really careful and precise with my measurements. i used potassium perchlorate and indian blackhead aluminum powder. (70 grams and 30 grams) it reacted quite well, and burned really fast, so i know i am using the right chemicals with the right surface area. however, the mixture fails to make a loud report in whatever i put it in, and does not seem to have the power to do so.....it makes more smoke and less noise.....what could i be doing wrong?

ewest Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 That's right. If you have a legitimate pyro related question we're more than happy to help, but questions about flash, especially as a first post to the forum, will not get you a kind welcome here.
