50AE Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) I'm posting this to share my great results using this method. Ned posted it on pyrobin a long time ago. It does about 5kg of charcoal at a time and if you get early in the morning and cook all day, you could make 4 or 5 batches until night. You must to get used to it though. Here's the link to the tutorial:http://www.pyrobin.com/files/cooking%20charcoal%20using%20the%20double-barrel%20method.pdf And here's my video of the charcoal I made Friday.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vdh0gs8P9k Edited September 25, 2011 by 50AE

pyrogeorge Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I will make the next charcoal with this method but with two big cans inside the barrel (5L each). How long did you take to make charcoal?Less than 3 hours/batch?
athlon Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 This method works really good! Used it last winter and made charcoal for both pyro and BBQ, still have about 3 kg left.
