Pyroboy Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) These are the rockets shot last weekend. The shells you can find here: http://www.amateurpy...nd-3-ballshell/ First of all our first try in building a girandola. we had two 18mm black powder propellants for the spin and six 22mm BP endburner for lifting. the second stage are four 16mm MgAlred core burner wich gave a interesting effect . Girandola We also made some MgAl fueled coreburners with some headers on them. sorted in green and red propellants. green coreburners red coreburners The last three ones are a 22mm BP endburner, a 5/8inch hybrid coreburner and a 5/8 inch whistle with some headers on them. BP endburner hybrid whistle Sadly the camera did not catch the colours very well. The coloured stars were veline magenta, emerald green and beachle6 red. Edited August 9, 2011 by Pyroboy
guntoteninfadel Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Are there links missing or do I just not know how to operate my computer?
Pyroboy Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 You are right. Some links were missing, I edited it. Now you should find all the videos ;-).
petroleum Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Great effects!!!What was the hybrid comp and streamer comp in whistle?
Pyroboy Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Thank you! The hybrid mix was 50 ppw whistle /(KClO4/ potassium benzoate + 1% Fe2O3) mixed with 50 ppw BP. The streamer was C6 (ballmilled) with 10% FeTi (0-1000µm) added.
ExplosiveCoek Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Those were some nice rockets ! What comp did you use for te red/green, and what tooling (sizes) did you use? Did you use some whistle increments to spice them up?
