oldguy Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) Low teck, inexpensive, small & very effective. You can find irreparable steel belted tires for free. Tire shops will give them to you free, as they have to pay to have them hauled away. Acquire 4 or 5 used tires.Drill holes in the tires & bolt them together tight side to side (nuts, bolts & large washers).Bolt pattern is triangle shaped 3 per tire to tire. Dig a small trench about 10 inches to 1 ft deep the combined length of the tires.Roll bolted togather tires in trench.Fill bottom of tires with sand or concrete to make a level floor.(think dry sackcrete & hose in enough water to wet it & let it set up a few days) If you use a sand floor, place a piece of thin plywood or board inside the tires for a flat floor. To close > stack sand bags on both ends. Cover tires with sand bags side to side.Remove a few sandbags from 1 end for entry/exit. Place mill inside on flat floor (use extension cord to power mill).Replace sand bags, plug in extension cord.To waterproof it, place a tarp or pond liner under the sand bags. Sort of like a blasting mat.Google "blasting mat" if you have never seen them Edited June 3, 2011 by oldguy
